The Weird Thing I Did As A Kid That Helped My Money Game

If you’ve ever thought of money as energy, you’re on the right track because this will really shift your money relationship.

Why? Because it will inform your behavior.

Let’s break this down - All things are energy.

Cool.

So what if we approached all things as having feelings or something we can create a relationship with?

Whoa Bri...that’s weird.

Totally, and it’s what I thought as a kid (still do if I’m totally honest)

What do I mean?

Like, I would move a chair, or a stuffed animal in my room because I didn’t want it to be lonely.

OKAY, OKAY, stay with me Boo...I’m not totally losing my ish.

I’m being serious.

Breaking a stick, would make me sad because I would think I inflicted pain on it.

What.the.ever.loving.hee.haw.

Yup.

So....how did this help me with my money game?

It was REALLY easy for me to think of money as something I cared about, thus it shifted my interactions with it.

MY FRIEND: That’s my #1 trick for changing your money game - treating your money like a relationship you care about.

So, prep your freak flag because we’re about to fly it.

THIS is the very first lesson I take all of my Fierce Finances students through.

  1. Think of a relationship you care about.

  2. How are you interacting? What are you saying, What are your actions?

  3. Ask how you can apply that to money?

HINT

  • Say nice things about it

  • Spend time with it (that’s right!)

  • Do nice things for it (keep it organized)

This is just a starter list, but let me tell you ...IT WILL CHANGE YOUR MONEY GAME.

So, take a page from my childhood book, and interact with care. You might be surprised how powerful it is.
