HOW TO MAKE MONEY SEXY
We’re bringing sexy back…to your money. My hunch is when you think of your money it’s got a “hall monitor” badge on, not a single wrinkle and is 15 but looks like it’s 65. Essentially, your money is stuffy. So, let’s get some sexy back with your money.
Why do we want money to be sexy?
Well, unfortunately sex sells in this world.
KIDDING ASIDE - you are drawn to sexy. It’s human nature. And we’re in the business of being drawn to our money.
So step aside granny, let’s get sexy!
Sexy is Simple
Seriously. What is sexy is often not bedazzled and complicated. Most of us crave ease in our lives. Think about those you are attracted to or find yourself saying, “ugh, their life looks amazing.” Does it look hard? Are they struggling? Probably not (I mean, they might be, but that’s not what you are seeing). They make it look easy!
So how do we apply this to our money?
Stop overcomplicating it. What are 1-3 simple actions you can take each week that ARE NOT sexy? Food prep? Looking at your bank account? Organizing your wallet? Keep it simple.
Sexy is Clear
You know what I think is sexy? Someone who knows what they want. There’s just something about the conviction and intention in this world that often feels so chaotic that puts a flutter in my stomach. Do you have clarity on how you want your money to work for you?
So many of us say we want money so we can do what we want, but we don’t actually know what we want. It’s the hardest module in Fierce Finances. Not budgeting, not facing debt numbers - creating a vision for our lives. Start a list of what kind of life would feel great. What are you doing? Who are you with? What are you feeling? Where do you live? And don’t worry, you get to change this, but you have to start.
Sexy Confident
You know when someone walks into the room holding all of the energy with this feeling that they LIKE themselves and feel COMFORTABLE in their body? It has nothing to do with how they look or what they are wearing. Do you know what I’m talking about? It’s an energy. Do you feel confident with your money? Holding it? Moving it?
Feeling confident with your money might feel foreign now, but there are a few steps that will get you on your way. Lean in and know your numbers. Even if you don’t like them, know them. Build your money education and learn the “best practices”. I want you to know them so you can break them! You will feel confident in your money moves if you know the pros and cons. Get clear on that vision. When you know what, you will know why you are making money moves.
I imagine you are thinking that the sexy list is, well…not sexy. Correct, Boo. You are absolutely correct. Just like the steps required to get you to you other goals don’t look that sexy.
