No Resolution? End The Year With These 3 Questions

As the end of the year is winding down, you are probably feeling one (or a few) things:

  • Pumped to get the eff outta the year

  • Excited to hit January full speed

  • Sad that the holidays are over

  • Disappointed that you didn’t do what you said you would do this year

  • Scared to commit to any goals in the New Year

  • Not even sure where to start

I feel ya.

Before we move forward, let’s just be real for a moment:  Some years, staying alive is a win.

Truth.

If you aren’t feeling the goalmageddon for the New Year...that’s okay.

Goals might not be your thing and any year that is “business as usual” is a win in your book...and that’s great.  You do you Boo!

Not everyone needs a goal.

What I DO think is important for everyone to do: ask these 3 questions at the end of the year:

  1. What felt really good this year and brought you joy?

  2. What do you want more of in the New Year?

  3. Why do you want it?

By nature, we will want to focus on what went wrong, what we didn’t achieve, or what didn’t feel good.

It works for some people and for others, it can keep us spinning in a space of being “stuck”.

I like to focus on what was good because thinking positively is truly a skill.  And like any skill, when we practice, we get better and eventually it will become second nature.

Enjoy the last day of this decade friend and be safe.  I am so grateful you are here and can’t wait to create some magic in 2020.
