Rethink Your New Year's Mindset
I have a pet peeve about New Year’s resolutions and that’s the phrase “New Year, New You!” - ugh. You know why I dislike it? Because it suggests that you aren’t great as you are. That YOU need to change. That YOU aren’t enough (and you know, our society loves to tell us we don’t have enough).
New Mindset: New Year, MORE YOU
Why is this important?
Well, change for many has a negative association. I mean, you rarely hear a person say, “I just looooove change!”...right? Change for most individuals throws them into a tailspin of doubt, questions and fear of failure.
So, when you say YOU need to change, you’re placing some negative energy around YOU.
Usually when we feel free, most joyful and most at ease is when we are in alignment. And we are in alignment when we are being true to ourselves. We are true to ourselves when we get to know ourselves more, and...wait for it…love ourselves.
You know what comes from this place of love?
So many things but the biggest one in my book is this: YOU FEEL DESERVING.
You deserve to have a job you love.
You deserve abundance so you don’t have to worry about money.
You deserve to do the things that bring you joy.
You deserve to be with someone (so you choose) that brings you laughter and smiles.
You deserve to take care of yourself.
YOU, sweet soul, are perfect the way you are.
