Having a budget without a goal...It's not exciting and it USUALLY ends up being something you never want to do again.

I’ve been thinking about money A LOT and it had me cruising down memory lane.  This one time I was in Milan for work and I did something REALLY STUPID.

I’ll be honest, I have a love for office supplies. I could wander around an office store for hours. Some say giving up clothes shopping is hard. I blame the Trapper Keeper and Lisa Frank. 

“You will never be as young as you are at this very moment.” HO-LEE-MOLY! Right? That is SO MOTIVATING to me and it got me thinking. 

Today, I took a three hour nap…(Uh, I ain’t got no time for that!) and I probably could have slept into the night if I would have allowed myself.  Do you ever feel like that?  It’s almost like your body gives up and just shuts you down. I imagine the conversation going like this:

OKAY, OKAY...when I say glamorous I mean: living in a teeny apartment with 2 roommates, barely making $30k a year working at a magazine, going out to all of the hoppin’ restaurants and clubs and drinking Starbucks like I was trying to get stock options.  

When the opportunity arose for me to take a one month break, I didn't hesitate. That lead me down a very Julia & Julia meets Eat, Pray, Love road. I made pasta from scratch, started to garden, took voice lessons, read more...I was all in.
